4.8 across 676 ratings. Owners single out the brightness, the dimming and a finish that looks more expensive than a standard mini-light string, and several describe running it well below full brightness on a tree.
The listing states plainly that it is not water resistant and does not support series connection. It is an indoor string, and one string is all you get on a circuit of it.

An IP rating’s second digit measures water protection. Twinkly Strings carry IP44, which means protection against splashing water from any direction. Govee’s Christmas Lights 2 carries IP65, protection against water jets, and a listed operating range of -20°C to 40°C.
That gap matters on an exposed roofline or a yard tree through January. Govee’s own listing adds a condition: the power adapter must sit in a watertight box outdoors, because it is not rated like the string. The Sparkle string has no water rating at all.

One Twinkly string did not make the cut
Twinkly’s USB-C Pearls string rates 4.5 across 871 ratings, and it lost on 2 counts. At 39.4 ft with 200 LEDs, it covers well under half the run of the other strings here.
Owners also report that the power adapter is not in the box, and they describe the app in opposite terms, from easy to a constant fight. A string that needs a separate purchase before it lights is a poor gift.
How the 2 brands differ on paper
Both brands sell 24 V, individually addressable RGB strings controlled from a phone app, with Alexa and Google Assistant support. Neither brand’s listing states a lifespan in hours. What this research cannot tell you is failure rate: owner reports show that strings from both brands stop working, but nothing published says how often.
