Run the stated figures through that and a 1,733 square foot claim made at 1 or 2 air changes becomes somewhere between about 350 and 700 square feet at 5, depending on which it assumes. CADR is the only number works the arithmetic through.
Neither LEVOIT nor WINIX puts a CADR figure in its listing title: LEVOIT’s titles say AHAM Verifide, and WINIX’s CADR sits in a comparison chart below the square footage. A much smaller brand on this page does, which is the most honest listing of the four and the thinnest evidence base.

Filters are the real cost, and they differ
Neither purchase price is the figure to compare, because running cost over a year is entirely filters.
Both brands use a combined particle and carbon cartridge on most models, so both stages are replaced together on the shorter of the 2 lives. That is convenient and it means paying for HEPA media that had life left in it.
Check availability as well as price. A proprietary cartridge from a brand that discontinues a model leaves you with a machine and no consumables, which is the same problem ECOVACS consumables documents in another category.
