Take 2 measurements, because brands use different ones
Glove charts use one of 2 numbers, and a tape measure gives you both in a minute. Use your dominant hand, held flat with the fingers together.
The North Face sizes by hand length
A hand 7.5 inches long is a medium here, because it is over the 7.1-inch small and under the 7.7-inch medium. The chart runs from XXS to XXL, each with a European number and a maximum length. The Sierra Fleece Etip is sized on it.

Alepo sells its sheepskin gloves in 5 US sizes from 8.1 to 9.8 inches, without saying on the listing which measurement those inches are. Look for a size chart in the listing’s photos before you order.
