A 6-piece set is the quickest way to stock a bathroom for guests
Thanksgiving falls on 26 November, and a guest bathroom needs 3 sizes of towel. It is 100% cotton at 550 GSM, a little lighter than the 600 GSM sets, with a reversible jacquard pattern and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification.

American Soft Linen and Cotton Paradise are the 600 GSM sets
A higher GSM means more cotton in every square metre, which usually feels thicker and takes longer to dry. The American Soft Linen 6-piece set and the Cotton Paradise 6-piece set are both 600 GSM cotton, sold as Turkish towels, in the same 3 sizes as Modern Threads. Both are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. Cotton Paradise adds ring-spun cotton and a double-stitched hem, and lists more colours.

GSM tells you weight, not quality
Most cotton sets here sit at 550 to 600 GSM, and the figure tells you how heavy the towel is for its size, not how long it lasts. The towel GSM guide explains what the number means and when a lighter towel is the better buy. For the bed in the same guest room, the sheet sets guide covers the next purchase.
