A stall is a circulation failure
A blender works by pulling ingredients down into the blades and throwing them back up the sides, which is the vortex. When that flow stops, an air pocket forms under the blades and the motor spins in nothing.
More watts does not fix an air pocket. The blades are already turning at 20,000 rpm or more; there is simply nothing against them.
What fixes it is getting the mixture moving again: more liquid, a tamper, stopping and stirring, or a jar shaped to keep the flow going. That is why a tamper is standard on expensive blenders and why the marketing never leads with it.
