Read down that table and the ratings fall as the generation number rises. That is not a claim that older is better; newer systems have had less time to accumulate reviews and carry early-firmware problems.
What it does show is that the generation number is not what owners are responding to. Coverage is, and coverage is a placement and backhaul problem.
What Wi-Fi 6 actually adds, and when you feel it
Wi-Fi 6 does not make a single download faster in any way most households notice. What it adds is efficiency: techniques that let an access point talk to many devices in the same airtime rather than serving them one after another.
So the benefit scales with device count, not with speed. A house with 8 connected things will not feel it. A house with a doorbell, thermostats, speakers, bulbs, televisions, consoles and a phone per person will.
Count the devices before comparing anything else. That single number decides this comparison more reliably than any figure on either box.

The harder ceiling is the line into the building. A 300 megabit connection is fully served by Wi-Fi 5 hardware, and no router makes a line faster than what arrives.
That is why the honest reasons to upgrade are coverage, device count, or failed hardware. A generation number is not one of them, and what Wi-Fi 6, 6E and 7 change works through what each actually adds.

Both of these are dual-band, which means node-to-node traffic shares a radio with your devices. Every hop costs throughput.
A tri-band system reserves a radio for that traffic and keeps it off your devices. Wired backhaul beats both: if any ethernet exists between floors, using it removes the wireless hop entirely.
That is the upgrade worth making before either of these, and it is free if the cable is already in the wall. A 3-node mesh on wired backhaul behaves like 3 independent access points.
