Derivative model numbers have no price history
Manufacturers issue retailer-specific variants of a set, built to hit a price point for a promotion. The panel, the processor or the port count differs from the flagship model it resembles, and the model number differs by a character or 2.
The consequence is the one that matters to a buyer. A model that came into existence in October has no price history in September, so the comparison price beside it cannot be checked against anything.
