The finding is what sits at the top
The 2 highest-scoring duvets on the marketplace are polyester. Between them they carry 233,822 ratings — more owner evidence than every graded-down duvet on sale combined.
The second finding matters more. Almost nothing sold at these prices as a “down comforter” is graded down. It is a feather-and-fibre blend, and the giveaway is the absence of a fill-power number anywhere on the listing. A duvet with 600 fill power says so, because that is the figure people pay for.

Then decide the layer touching you separately. A duvet sets the warmth and the sheet sets the temperature you actually notice, which is the argument in flannel or percale and the reason thread count is the wrong number to shop on.
