The question that decides the purchase is what happens to the recording. Ring says its doorbells work without a plan, but saving and replaying video, for up to 180 days, comes with a Ring Protect plan.
Blink can skip the plan if you add a Sync Module 2 and a USB drive of 1 to 256 GB. eufy and Tapo record at the door with no plan at all.
