Instax Mini, Square or Wide: Which Film Fits
3 Instax film sizes, 3 families of camera, and none of them swap. The camera's name tells you the film, and the picture sizes run from 46 × 62 mm to 99 × 62 mm.

This page sets the 3 Instax film sizes side by side and names the camera each one fits, from Fujifilm’s published film specifications, as How we choose describes. The cameras are ranked by rating, then by how many owners rated them, read on 13 October 2026. Nothing here was handled or tested.

The 3 sizes do not swap between cameras
Each Instax camera takes one film size, and the camera’s name tells you which. A Mini pack will not seat in a Square or Wide camera, and the reverse is just as true. All 3 films are rated ISO 800, daylight balanced, and come 10 shots to a pack.

Gifting a camera means gifting the right film
A camera with the wrong film is the classic Christmas-morning mistake. Buy the film named on the camera, in the same order, and add a second pack: 10 shots go in an afternoon. The gifts for teens guide puts the Mini 12 at the top of its list.
